ABOUT

My Background

After graduating with a 2:1 degree in Japanese and Business Management from Durham University (ranked in UK top five), I was selected by the Japanese government as one of only 10 Britons to be posted to Japan in a local ambassadorial role. After traveling back to London via the trans-Siberian railway I began employment at Google and started building my career in marketing. Now based in New York City, I have been working in a variety of marketing roles, from advising clients on digital strategy at agency Media Storm to heading up the marketing department at NPower. I currently work at AIG driving growth at the cross-section of marketing and data science.

Volunteer Work

Before going to university, I worked in Product Planning at Sony and Mobile Partnerships at Ericsson to fundraise for five months’ volunteering as a secondary school English teacher in Nepal.

In NYC, I served on the Board of Directors for the 501c3 JETAANY for two years and continue to promote Japanese language and culture through teaching and translation; I was delighted to be commended in a prestigious poetry in translation competition.

I currently volunteer with American Corporate Partners, supporting veterans in the transition from the military to the civilian workforce

Other Interests

I am a qualified American Mountain Guides Association climbing wall instructor and love both introducing people to the sport and learning new skills myself. Whenever I can, I love to head to the mountains to hike, ski, rock and ice climb.
